Our products haven’t harmed anything or anybody, they are thoughtfully crafted, respectful of the environment and of the people that make them.

OUR WAY:
At KIRAN KAMAL, we are combining fashion with crafts and production techniques to bring about a zero waste and conscious wear clothing and accessories. We are eager to explore sustainable practices in everything from material sourcing to designing, manufacturing and packaging.
For our clothing line we work only with quality upcycled export surplus in natural materials that are sourced locally and fabrics from government undertakings that promote and uplift the local traditional crafts and textiles of India. We take extra care to make sure our buttons and trims are locally made and are natural materials like shell, coconut, wood etc.
Our labels are hand screen printed on balance/waste fabric scraps and our clothes are ironed on charcoal run irons locally.
For our Jewellery the gemstones are sourced from family run shops in Rajasthan and silver raw materials from Maharashtra. The gold-filled raw materials are imported from Rio-Grande a reputable supplier known for their sustainable practises.
Our packaging is made from recycled paper and boxes and fabric bags made from scraps. We try our best to avoid plastic in our packaging and if at all used, they are recycled or upcycled materials.
OUR VISION:
We work with garment production units in Auroville, who are environmentally and socially conscious, and who strive to bring quality and beauty not only into the products they make but also to the people that make them.
In practical terms, this means use of only natural materials in production, fair wages and funds for the employees, extensive training and skill development, constant research and development of new techniques and finishing, rightful use of natural resources and conscious waste sorting and disposal.

ABOUT THE LABEL
Kiran Kamal is a fashion label dreamed and manifested in Auroville, an International Township in Tamil Nadu, India. The label focusses on conscious creation and mindful consumption, through handmade and handcrafted jewellery, accessories and apparel.
The collections are typically small in size with around 10-12 pieces per design.
Kiran Kamal, originally from Kerala, living in Auroville, Tamil nadu, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design from the National Institute of fashion technology and has been active in the field for over a decade.
KIRAN KAMAL, studio is located in Surrender, Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India. And is registered as Dream Studio under ASSA a unit of the Artisana Trust of the Auroville Foundation.
